Puppets appearing in six Iranian plays by Zahra Sabri have been scheduled to be showcased in Poland, the director says.
“A collection of 120 big and small puppets from my plays ‘Nanny Delavar’, ‘Bernard Alba’s House’, ‘Eight Moments’, ‘Parrot Flies’ and ‘Count to One’ as well as ‘Earth and Wheel’ will be on show in Warsaw’s Wielki Theater on September 18,” Sabri was quoted by the media as saying on Saturday.
She also noted that ballet and opera center Wielki Theater is one of the biggest theaters in Warsaw that will host the exhibition ‘A Dream from Iran’ for two months.
Referring to how the event came into being, the director said following an exhibit held in Spain of the same name “director of a festival in Poland, Mr. Marekzurawski, showed interest in" holding a puppet exhibition in Warsaw.
Sabri explained that she has worked for seven months to send all the dolls from Spain to Warsaw.
“A Warsaw-based designer has sent me some of her designs for confirmation. The work is well in progress and the exhibition will be held on September 18,” she concluded.
